LEE WILLOW TRUMPFHELLER
Lee Willow Trumpfheller is a trans writer and artist based in the Bay Area. They are the author of the chapbooks Reconstructions (2020), published by Sibling Rivalry Press, and Black Warrior River, forthcoming from Neck Press.
Their writing has been published in The Baffler, Poetry, Cleveland Review of Books, DIAGRAM, Poets.org, West Branch, The Rumpus, Annulet, jubilat, and elsewhere.
Born in occupied Okinawa to a U.S. military family, Lee grew up in Nevada, Alabama, Virginia, and Japan. They hold degrees in creative writing and literature from Emerson College and the Michener Center for Writers, and their work has been supported by fellowships from MacDowell and the National Endowment for the Arts. They are materially and ideologically committed to a free Palestine.
